Product Description
    HCL with Pepsin by Solaray is a digestive supplement with 10 grain, high potency formulation.

    The digestive process takes place as food passes through the mouth, stomach, small intestine, and large intestine. One of the most important parts of digestion occurs in the stomach, where gastric (stomach) acid helps break down proteins for further digestion in the small intestine.

    A low level of gastric acid increases the likelihood and severity of certain bacterial and parasitic intestinal infections. A normal stomach’s level of gastric acid is sufficient to destroy bacteria. Some bacterial colonization of the stomach occurred in individuals who had low levels of hydrochloric acid. Therefore taking a HCL supplement will aid the stomach's acid to destroy harmful bacteria.

    Supplementing with betaine HCl in addition to the digestive tract soother pepsin relieves the symptoms of heartburn and improves digestion.

    Take HCL with Pepsin at the first sight of heartburn exactly the way you would take an antiacid.

    Ingredients - per capsule:
  • Betaine HCl 650 mg
  • Pepsin 162 mg


    • Other Ingredients: Gelatin (capsule), cellulose, and magnesium stearate.

    CAUTION: Do NOT take this product when your meal consists ONLY of salad or fruit. If you have hyper (high) acid stomach ulcers, consult with a physician before taking.
