What is it? The leaves of damiana were originally used as medicine by the indigenous cultures of Central America, particularly Mexico. Today the plant is found in hot, humid climates, including parts of Texas.
What does it do? Damiana continues to be a popular aphrodisiac for males. However, the effect appears to be rather mild. It is also sometimes said to be helpful for treating asthma and other respiratory diseases, depression, digestive problems, menstrual disorders, and various forms of sexual dysfunction, for example, impotence in men and inability to achieve orgasm in women.
Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement, take 1-3 capsules two times a day with meals or a glass of water. Store in a cool, dry place.
