Ear candles are 100% fine cotton muslin cones covered in a special wax used to remove wax from the
ear. They are not actually candles in the classical sense. They are hollow
cones with a special wax that, when burned, creates a heavy smoke. This smoke
travels down the interior of the ear candle, into your ear canal through a tiny hole at
the end of the ear candle.
The warm smoke travels through your ear canal, gently melting the wax within. As
the warm smoke sinks through the interior of the candle, it creates a vacuum with the
colder air outside of the candle. This vacuum then pulls the smoke back out of your
ear canal, and because the smoke cools as it travels back up the ear candle, it deposits
the wax it has been carrying on the interior of the ear candle! Each Candle burns for approximately 15 to 20 minutes and since it is made out of Muslin each candle is sturdy enough that it will burn without collapsing.
Yes. You won't believe it until you actually see it, but it's true. When
you're done, you can cut open the ear candle and see the wax that has been removed from
your ear!
Ear candles have been used for centuries as a home remedy in Eastern Europe and Asia.
They are completely safe, as nothing but smoke enters your ear. Suzannes.com
recommends you use ear candles in moderation, as they remove a significant amount of wax
from your ear, which can be harmful if done excessively (more than once a month). We
include instructions for use with every ear candle order.
