Indications
Goldenseal is indicated for acute manifestations of infection on any mucosal tissue which includes; the respiratory, digestive, reproductive and urinary systems.
Goldenseal works to help resolve infection which shows yellow, green or thick mucus. It will help resolve the infection and get the mucus back to a clear infection state. It is not indicated for thin runny mucus.
Goldenseal is famous for use in colds and flues. It should be used in situations where traditional anibiotics are indicated, and should not be used to boost immunity when one is healthy. It is arguably the best remedy for sinus infections(oral use and snort in water as sinus wash) and gum diseases (rinse mouth and swallow).
It can help urinary tract infections, vaginal infections, intestinal infections, prostate infections and topical infections on the skin.
CAUTION: Should not be used for prolonged periods or during pregnancy. Should be used under supervision by those with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or glaucoma.
